True Love. ..

True love is beautiful new patterned paper, and new stamps!
How STINKING CUTE are these stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms!? (Click here to see the whole set - its sooo fun!) I had my eye on that stamp set for a while, and when I had some publication endorsement credit coming my way, I knew JUST what I wanted!!!
This is my card for CPS this week, sketch number 156. . .a clean and simple and super fun sketch, because you can do almost ANYTHING with it! It will be fun to see the samples throughout the week, so be sure to check in on the CPS blog!
Over the course of this week, my one sick child turned into two sick children and a sick husband. I have so far managed to stay fairly healthy. I had a bit of a sore throat last night, but I feel better today. Hoping it stays that way!!!! Today while we are home from church I am going to wash sheets, towels, toys and anything else I can hit with soap, water, or Lysol! Fun fun!
I'll be back tomorrow to share the NEW STAMPS for March from The Stamps of Life! (I think this might be my favorite set yet!!!)
XOXO

spring? almost!

Is it feeling like Spring yet?
Well, maybe not quite. Although here in Florida, it's probably a lot closer to Springtime than where most of you live! I will admit, although it's chilly today, I was in flipflops and capri pants a few days ago. And now that I think about it, there was pollen all over my car too - so perhaps Spring IS just around the corner.
I have had some time to just PLAY lately, using whatever stamps I felt like, no assignments, no duedates - so I pulled out these cute Kim Hughes stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms. I've had them for ages now, and they had not touched much ink yet. It was wayyy past time! I paired them with some new October Afternoon papers, and Papertrey Ink buttons.

a little more papertrey goodness

I realized that somehow I forgot to share my CPS card from last week's sketch. Running late. . .that seems to be about how I function these days! You may remember me gushing about the big box of Papertrey Ink goodies that Nichole sent us for the CPS sponsorship -so I used them on last week's card as well. Everything is Papertrey except the CTMH white cardstock, ink, and tiny jewels on the flowers.
This card is pretty clean and simple. I kept trying to decide if I should jazz it up some more, but I sort of like the simplicity of it. Not too much clutter or fancy schmancy stuff. I seem to be one extreme or the other lately. . either really clean and super simple, or crazy time consuming things (like all that paper piecing in that schoolhouse card!!!)
The squirmy baby on my lap is demanding that we MOVE ON from blogging, so I will say So-Long! Have a wonderful day! The week is halfway over!
XOXOXO

back to school (CPS 155)

I'm runnin' with the school theme right now. How can I help myself, with all the CUTE October Afternoon Report Card papers! I also used a little strip of lined paper, I think from (Creative Imaginations?) This is my CPS card for this week's sketch. You can check out the sketch, and all the designers projects throughout the week, HERE!
We are staying home from church this morning, while my little man finishes getting over his cold. He felt well enough to run around in the yard yesterday for a while, (the weather was soooo perfect! 60 degrees and sunny!) but he still sounds pretty crummy. I am going to take advantage of the lazy morning, put on some cartoons, and clean the bathroom - wooHOOO!!! I keep telling my hubby, "Someday, in our dream home, I am going to have a girls-only bathroom. Just for ME." I really actually LOVE being the only girl in the house, but I really would like to have my OWN bathroom - stink and mess free!!!! Let's just say the "aim" of a 5 year old is less than perfect, and from the smell and the mess, I feel like I'm in a gas station bathroom half the time.
Okay, so there's my Sunday morning card and rant. (I'll spare you my daily rant about the little-little one who still isn't sleeping at night!)
I hope you have a terrific day!
XOXO

we go to school to learn.

My little one is having his first "Sick Day" from school today. It's just a little cold, but he was feeling pretty crummy this morning. So I thought I'd share this school card with you today - I did it a few days ago, and I had SO MUCH FUN with it. The stamps are all from Unity - all stamps I've had for quite a while, and liked right away, but I just hadn't made the time to play with yet. And the paper is from dear sweet October Afternoon. Just a mishmash of a bunch of their different collections. I LOVE how so many of their collections match each other - it makes it such fun to dig through my scraps and put things together. I do not know where the blue lace is from (so if you recognize it, please let me know!!! If it gets picked up for pub, I will be scouring the internet trying to ID it!!!!)
I hope you are healthy and well and having a great FRIDAY!!!! It will feel like a long weekend for us, having Mr. B home today. I am totally confused about what day it is!!!!

Happy Weekend!!!!
XOXO

yikes!

This is a first. . .I made the card, took the photo, AND posted it on my blog all in one day!
I got fun new Unity stamps in the mail last night, and I couldn't WAIT to bust them opened!!! It was good timing, because I also happen to have CUTE new My Mind's Eye paper arrive on my doorstep, thanks to a CARDS goodie box. . .and these are a perfect fit together!
Gotta keep this short and sweet today, but the days keep flying by, and I realized I hadn't updated the old bloggity blog in a few days. Hope you all had a great long weekend! I am off to put away little boys' laundry and get some dinner cooking! (Shepherd's Pie tonight I think!)

Beep Boop . . I love you

Beep Boop! Happy Valentines Day!
I made this card (it's 5x7 - a little larger than i normally do!) with stamps from StarvingArtistamps. I have obsessed about their Doodlefactory stamps here before. . .they are SO cute, and super fun to paperpiece. I already had a fun Doodlefactory Valentines set, but recently I got an ADORABLE robot/space set. So I paired the two together, and in honor of my little 5 year old who LOVES robots, I whipped this up. (But he can't have it. It's not for him . . .although I DID make him his own Valentine using these same stamps!)
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL day! We are heading to church, and then brunch with the family, and then home to CRASH. Perhaps my sweeties will grant me a NAP today???
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Apron Strings lovelies!

Happy Saturday everyone!!!! Two little cards to share with you today!

The February kit from Apron Strings has some beautiful BasicGrey papers in it. These are two cards, made exclusively from the kit . . .Pink Paislee rub-ons, Bazzill cardstock, BasicGrey paper, and little bits of this and that, all included in the kit! (click on the link to see the complete kit!)

I am SO excited about the start of the Olympics. The only thing I like more than making cards, is making cards while watching the Olympics!!! Especially now that I have a baby who is sleeping in HIS room, rather than mine, and we can actually have the light on past 7pm. (Granted he still isn't SLEEPING for long at a time, but at least he's doing it in HIS room.)

I have been working on some new cards this week. . .just totally playing with whatever I want. Nothing for an assignment, or anything that HAS to be done. It's been totally fun, and I can't wait to share what I've been working on!!! Now that we have some sunshine today, I will try to take some pictures and post them soon!!!
Have a GREAT weekend!!!!
Happy Valentines' Day!!! :)

two tiny and 2 cute!

The February stamps are The {Stamps} of Life are ADORABLE (I may have said that a time or two already!) This first card is using the SPECIAL RELEASE set!!! It's called TinyAnd2Cute - and it really IS toooo cute!!! (You can see more examples of this fun set, in the gallery )The sentiments in this set are PERFECTION. Dainty and cute, but really easy to read and the perfect size for a simple little sentiment. The two cards I'm sharing with you are both about half the size of a standard card. I think about 4.5x3.5. It's actually a pretty fun size to work with!

On this card I used the Eggs4Easter set, plus the sentiment from HappyBday2You.
I say it every month, but I love how easy it is to mix and match these sets. It's obvious that Stephanie is really thinking about each set building upon the next. These sets are GREAT for new stampers too, because I have a feeling that by the end of the year, Stephanie really will have covered just about every occasion you need a stamp for!!!!

I am totally loving this color combination right now. I can't seem to stop using it!!!!

Have a wonderful day!! I am off to deal with my fussy over-tired little one. We are SLEEP-TRAINING. . .which means in the meantime, before we get from HERE to THERE, we are getting even LESS sleep than we already were!!! So pardon me if I blabber and speak incoherently!!!! Hugs!
XOXOXO

And they are ADORABLE!!!!! This is my card for sketch 153 at CPS. I will also be using Papertrey for weeks to come, because I have lots of cute stuff to share!!! Thanks SO much to Papertrey Ink and Nichole Heady's crazy-huge generosity!!! :) I hope you'll head over to the CPS blog and check out the sketch. It's super simple, cute and has LOTS of possiblities!!!

sometimes i surprise myself . . .

this week's sketch (#152) at CPS had me stumped. and looking back, i'm not sure why, because after seeing everyone's cards this week, i am totally in love with them, and i want to try the sketch again! but despite my struggles, i changed up the design a bit, spent wayyy to long fussing with the layers and pieces on here - and REALLY like the outcome!!!! i also surprised myself because i can normally NOT pull off the shabby chic look. it just doesn't work for me. but this time, i am quite pleased (and pleasantly surprised) with the way this turned out!!! i hope you like it too!!!

i am happy to be popping a copy of Stamp It! Cards in the mail to sweet Jamie today!! enjoy, my friend!!!! :) and now, mr. B and I have a project to do . . . fill the sink with soapy water and wash up all of baby brother's toys. i love enlisting the help of a five-year-old whenever i can. i'd much rather wash toys together than play Legos . . . AGAIN!!! :)

Happy Easter. . .almost.

I know, it isn't even Valentines Day. But it's never too early to start on your Easter cards!!! :) (Besides, for those of us who never got Christmas cards out, perhaps Easter is the most atttainable goal to reach for!! Because even Valentines are going to be a long shot at this point!) These are the new Stamps of Life stamps, paired with October Afternoon paper. (My favorite!!!) I also used some of THE cutest buttons, from Papertrey Ink. LOVE them. Cute stamps, fabulous paper, and fun buttons. The perfect combination!!! Terrific products make creating SO easy, don't they!!???

a goodie for you!

This is my card published in Paper Craft's new Stamp It! Cards . . .and I have an extra copy to share with someone!!!! Anyone want it???
Leave a comment, and I will randomly choose a person to send this magazine to at the end of the week.

I was so excited when this card got picked up for publication, because its one of those cards that just came together really easily, and I LOVED the way it turned out!!! I paper-pieced the little birdie image, which WAS a bit of work, but worth it I think!!!

There are some AMAZING cards in this issue - I always want to sit down and CREATE after flipping through an issue of Paper Crafts! Don't forget - leave a comment if you'd like a copy of Stamp It! Cards!!

Let's Party Chickadee!!!!

Start of the month means a NEW stamp set from The Stamps of Life. We're getting ready for Easter, but as you can see, this hip little chick can be used for much more than just an Easter card. I combined a couple stamps from the birthday set, to create this fun little card!

I wanted a polka dot background. . .so I used a hole punch to punch out circles from my red background paper. I sanded over it a bit, and I really like the way it turned out!

I have a fussing baby, and a 5 year old who wants to play - so I better cut this short. Hop on over to The Stamps of Life to see the whole stamp set, and check out the gallery which is quickly filling up with the design team girls' cards!!!!
XOXO
