Mama brain. . .

Soooo, I popped all of Tanner's invitations in the mail today.
And then the hubby called, and said. .. .

"Did you mean to put September instead of August on Tanner's invitations?"

Oh CRUD.

Mama brain.
Can I use that excuse?

a little family fun

I'll have some new cards to share SOON, but in the meantime, I thought I would share a couple of my cuties from our trip to North Carolina. Mr. B spent most of the week stomping in the creek next to my parents' house. We got him some big tall boots and he was happy to dig and move rocks and get soaked. . .every day!
And the little one WANTED to be in the creek, but was unhappily confined to his stroller during most creek stomping events! But he had a wonderful time crawling all over a new location, finding bits of this and that to put in his mouth along the way!
And here is a little digi project I did this week . . .a party invite for Little T, who turns ONE next week. The stars are from The Stamps of Life digi set from June. I don't do much digi work, but it was fun making this invite! I printed it out 4x6 and it looks pretty darn cute!

The almost-one year old is wanting something to eat, and crying at my lap. . .. and the 5 year old wants me to read to him. I better go get this day started! Have a good one!

bee-lieve

Flower Soft was kind enough to share lots of goodies with the CPS designers, for this week's sketch sponsorship. I am still a newbie when it comes to Flower Soft, but it is pretty fun stuff! It is a bit easier and less messy to use than glitter. . .I am not so much the fan of working with glitter! And the Flower Soft adds just a bit of fun texture to cards and projects. On this card, I added black Flower Soft to the black areas of my sweet little bumblebee.

Thanks for the comments on my last blog post. . .although you know what this proves? There are exactly 7 comments, and isn't it ironic how I told you I knew that there were SEVEN of you reading this blog????? ;) tee hee! I know there are more than that. . .probably 10 or 12. LOL! If you left me a comment, I am working to get around to each of YOU to leave a comment for YOU, you sweetie pies!

Made these granola bars today. . . it was supposed to be a project for me and Mr. B. but it ended up being just MY project. I must say, they turned out pretty yummy! I used a little less sugar, and less butter, and added walnuts instead of almonds. Definitely worth a try if you like granola bars!

a peace offering! for real!

Thank you so much for the sweet comments while I was away. . . I am glad that there are "more than 7 of you" reading. . . .sometimes I wonder! Blogging is such a great way to connect with people -but it can be a bit disheartening and frustrating sometimes too, anyone agree? I've been gone so long, I hardly remember what I have shared and what I haven't, but as a peace offering, here are a COUPLE of cards for you today.
That first card up there, is with the July stamps from The Stamps of Life. Robots - love them! My 5 year old is begging to get his inky fingers on those stamps, but I haven't let him just yet!
This next card is a Close to My Heart card I shared on my mom's blog last week. You can find the stamp sets and info HERE.
And now on to the sweet pea card - Lizzie Anne Designs sponsored the CPS blog a few weeks ago, and I was thrilled for the chance to play with their stamps - I've loved them for ages but never had the opportunity to use them. I paper-pieced this sweet little pea and used some lovely Prism kiwi cardstock. And last but certainly not least, another CPS card, and lots of October Afternoon loveliness. Also some beautiful Couture Cardstock and CTMH ribbon.

We are now home from the LAST of our summer travels. We had a gorgeous and fun week in North Carolina, (maybe I'll share some pics later in the week!) and now we are BACK for a while. We have a little less than a month until it's time for Mr. B to start Kindergarten, and right after that Little T to turn ONE YEAR OLD. (Seriously? It was only a year ago that I was sitting here as big as a house, complaining to you all about the heat and my being as big as a house!?) Yikes. So now we'll work on getting everyone back on a schedule, get caught up on emails and chores and cards, start eating a bit healthier after too many vacation treats, and enjoy sleeping in our own beds. And I vow to be a better blogger, if you vow to keep on stopping by! Deal? (And you know, you could always leave a comment or something, and let me know you've been by!!! And if you do. . . I'll stop by and see YOU too!)

XOXOXO

forgive me!

I am gone, but I have not forgotten my little bloggity blog. We've been out of town, and right now I have a not-so-consistent internet connection, combined with, quite frankly, a disinterest in updating my blog!!!! I love the seven or so people who are actually reading my blog, and I WILL be back. Next week, if not sooner, I will have some projects to share.
Hope you are having a terrific week!!!!

clean and simple CPS 174

This week's CPS sketch was sponsored by Gina K Designs. I suppose, since it is Saturday, I almost missed sharing this card on time!!! I am on vacation at my parents' house this week, celebrating my grandmother's birthday with oodles of family in town! It's lots of fun, but I've spent most of the time chasing a crawling baby through a non-baby-proofed house! So that's my excuse for lack of posts this week!!! But I'll be home next week. . ..for a whole three days. And then we leave AGAIN!
I struggled with this card, trying to keep it simple and understated - but it's hard to find that balance between boring and perfectly clean and simple. I hope I achieved it!
I hope your weekend is TERRIFIC!!! I think we'll be spending most of the day in the POOL!!!

Hoppity Hop with The {Stamps} of Life and Flower Soft!

The {Stamps} of Life and Flower Soft are having a blog hop!

If you frequent my blog, you see The {Stamps} of Life quite frequently, but Flower Soft is new to me. . .and perhaps new to you as well!! If so, you DEFINITELY need to peruse the website, and go through the whole blog hop for LOTS of inspiration - because this stuff is FUN to use! For my card, I used the Sand colored Flower Soft - absolutely PERFECT for creating. . .SAND! (Of course!)

Happy hopping!!!

happy birthday! (and Happy 4th too!)

I created this card for last week's CPS sketch, as well as for my mom's CTMH blog. (It was posted there a few days ago!) I used Close To My Heart Animal Cookies paper, just one simple sentiment stamp, and it came together quick and easy! I LOVE this paper. It is sooo cute!

I hope you had a terrific 4th of July! The kiddos and I are heading out of town in a few days, so we are busy busy trying to get things cleaned up, organized, and ready to go! Hubby and the big boy are at a baseball game right now, and the little one is sleeping. . . prime time to get some good work accomplished!!! (So why am I sitting at the computer?) If you have the day off tomorrow - have a GREAT day!!! We are hoping to have a super productive day! Haircuts, tires rotated, dry cleaners, cleaning up, laundry. . .the list goes on and on!!!!

Happy 4th of July!!
XOXO

have a sunny day!! (NEW TSOL!)

It's July! It's July! (Ummm, excuse me where did May and June go?) It's NEW STAMPS day at The Stamps of Life. Summer4Fun is up and posted in the TSOL store! If you purchased Kites2Fly, you MUST get this new set, because the clouds on the kite set are just begging for this new sunshine!!! I LOVE it.
This card is super clean and simple. I told ya, I am loving the white cards right now. I think it's psychological. . .. whenever life is feeling crazy, I like to clean and organize. It helps me feel like I am in control of my wild life - maybe making clean and simple cards has the same affect. Hmmm. . .. pretty deep for a Thursday morning! ;)
Be sure to stop by the TSOL gallery because the cards that are posted there are ADORABLE!!! And we have two super talented new guest designers with us, Tami Mayberry, and Emily Niehaus. Be sure to stop by and see them while you are bopping around!
Have a terrific day!!
