a graduation favor (2-4-6-8 scored box) and invitation

This is a little favor box and invitation I created for the Discount Cardstock blog, using their beautiful metallic card stock, along with stickers from SRM Stickers.  The favor box is the 2-4-6-8 box on the ScorPal website. You can find all the details on the DCS blog.

I am fairly sure we are in our first two, and last two, perfect days of Spring right now.  70 degrees today, and absolutely gorgeous. . .so forgive me. . .I am SO outta here. No more computer for me, right now! (Except the six other things I have to do first!)

Have a BEAUTIFUL day, and I'll be back soon!

a Mother's Day table idea!

Last week, my second tutorial at A Cherry On Top was published. . .and I totally missed it until a few days later! So head on over to check it out.  I used papers from Teresa Collins, to create a fun little table ensemble that you can whip right up for Mother's Day - but it would also be perfect for any spring occasion (bridal shower, bridesmaids luncheon, a birthday. . .)
I hope you like it! :)

like peas and carrots!

This week's CPS sponsor is Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.  I ADORE this stamp set, called You & Me.  It has the cutest little smiley images and sweet sentiments in a clean and simple font. (a font can make ALL the difference on a stamp set, in my humble opinion!)

I busted out my Touch Twin markers to color these little guys.  I have LOTS to learn in the marker department. . . I pretty much just muddle my way through, and wing it, hoping I don't massively mess it up!  But I really like the way the peas turned out!  Although I left out the aqua (which is totally shocking, since it's like my FAVORITE color EVER) I was going to submit this card for the Touch Twin color challenge, BUT - funny how I didn't upload it in time. OH WELL! If you haven't ever played along with the Touch Twin challenges, you should! They are a lot of fun!

When you read this, I will be at Animal Kingdom, at Walt Disney World! I'll say hello to the elephants for you! :)

Oh. . ..April.

Remember how I was so happy it was April? Well April has surely come in like a LION this year. One by one, each person in my house dropped like flies, with some sort of horrendous stomach bug.

The good news is that we are all on the mend and pretty much at 100% now. . .and just in time, because we leave Sunday afternoon for DISNEY WORLD!

In the meantime, I have lots of catching up to do, so I am just stopping by with a quick post for you (mainly so that I don't feel guilty that my blog has been left unattended for so long!)

This first card is a Close To My Heart card, that I created for my mom's blog.  I used the Cruisin' paper pack, and stamps from Super Powers and Adventure USA. (You can find all the specific details, on my mom's Close To My Heart blog!)
And this card features The {Stamps} of Life, and Discount Cardstock . . .purple, can you believe it!? (I am always EXTRA impressed with myself when I use purple, on my own free will. It doesn't happen often!) To create those flowers, I used the birthday gift bow on this month's stamp set.  And I paired it with the mum stems from last month. I sort of love the way it worked out!  And that purple card stock is the new Pop Tone cardstock for sale at DCS!
I'll try to schedule out a few more blog posts for you this coming week, while I am whooping it up at Disney World! :) Thanks so much for stopping by!

Oh, April!

October is my favorite month. . . .I love the anticipation of cool weather, fall fun, and all the beautiful things that winter brings.  But April is a close second.  It's my birthday and anniversary month (both on the same day!) It's also the birthday month of quite a few of my favorite people, both friends AND family! The anticipation of summer vacation is right around the corner, and although our cool Spring-like weather seems to have fled the state of Florida, I will enjoy it ANYWAY!

April also brings NEW STAMPS from The {Stamps} of Life.  It's a BIRTHDAY set! How perfect, being my birthday month and all. . . .I'll secretly pretend that Stephanie designed this stamp set just for me.

I created this first card based on the CPS sketch for this week.  It's a little busier than most of my cards, but I'm okay with that.  ;)  Check out more of those gorgeous Pop Tones cardstock, on sale at Discount Cardstock!  I paired the new birthday stamps with that sweet ol' froggy from TSOL a few months ago.
And this one, is a very ME card. . . .black and white, bright colors, polka dot cardstock, a tiny touch of bling - it pretty much screams my name!
I hope your April is off to a TERRIFIC start.  I think now I'll get back to cleaning out the pantry and supervising the PlayDoh disaster which is taking place on the kitchen floor! Happy Tuesday! xoxo
